Q: How much does it cost to come to Journey of Hope?
A: There is no charge to attend Journey of Hope.
Q: How long can we attend Journey of Hope?
A: Groups are open-ended, meaning that they do not start or stop at a certain date. Length of attendance varies according to individual needs.
Q: Is Journey of Hope counseling or therapy?
A: No, we offer peer support groups. If you are looking for counseling or therapy, we can provide referrals for you.
Q: I don’t have any children at home. Can I still attend Journey of Hope?
A: While we would love to offer support to all who seek it, Journey of Hope came into existence specifically to serve children and their families (immediate family and caregivers) who are grieving the loss of a loved one. If you are a young adult between the ages of 18 and 35, there may be a group for you. Please see the resources page or call us at 972-964-1600 for any questions.
Q: Do you have Spanish-speaking groups?
A: Unfortunately at this time we do not offer separate Spanish-speaking groups. We may be able to arrange a translator for the intake appointment.
Q: I used to come to Journey of Hope and would like to come back to groups. Can I show up on group night?
A: Please call our office to speak with the Program Director concerning returning to groups.
Q: Does Journey of Hope have any religious affiliations?
A: Journey of Hope is non-sectarian, and we serve all families regardless of religion, race, creed, or sexual orientation.
