Why is the significance of the teddy bear?
Traditionally, each child in our Peer Support Groups receives a stuffed animal to comfort them through their grieving process.
Our families must have an intake appointment prior to beginning our support groups to help our our Program Team get to know the family, provide information about our program, and answer any questions.
Our founders knew the intake appointments would be emotional and tough, so they wanted families to leave with something to remind them of the support and comfort they receive when attending the support groups.
They created a mission that every child who attends an intake would be able to choose a stuffed animal to take home with them.
In celebration of our 25th Anniversary, we now have our very own Journey of Hope Tribute Bears for 2023!
